Thank you for your interest in the Antelope Valley Disaster Relief Network as a Volunteer. Our volunteers are the heart of our organization in everything we do. AVDRN is a network of churches with volunteers who are active members in a local church and have agreed to the Statement of Faith.

For volunteers who may not agree with these terms, there are alternative volunteer opportunity options available below.

Alternative Volunteer Opportunities

For volunteers who may not agree with our Statement of Faith, there are alternative volunteer opportunity options available to you.

Preparedness Training Course Options

The following trainings, are available to anyone: CERT, CISM/CIT, First Aid/CPR, Preparedness Peace, Ham Radio training, and AVDRN Spiritual Training classes. Certification of course completion will be given to anyone that completes a certified course.

AVDRN Blue T-Shirt and Badge will be available only to AVDRN volunteers who complete online volunteer registration found on our page HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER, AVDRN 3 hour Orientation and agree to our Statement of Faith. (Volunteers who do not pass the background check or are convicted of any crimes against minors will not be able to receive an AVDRN badge or an official AVDRN blue t-shirt).

Joining the American Red Cross

American Red Cross is a great alternate option for service to the community during disaster: AVDRN partners with the Red Cross to sponsor families in need, to offer shelter support, and provide trained volunteers to assist in areas when called upon during disaster.
